Later began working in other potteries having started his own pottery in 1975. The Pottery Bulhão is a pottery with handmade history of over 40 years.

Initially the pieces were cooked in wood ovens, but currently the pottery has two ovens, one gas and one electric.  The Pottery has been kept as original to the initial process as possible.

20 years ago Manuela Marques, the daughter, joined the Pottery, particularly in the management of it. Manuela embraced this activity and intends to further this noble art of their land.
