One of the best examples of Portugal's golden age after the earthquake of 1755. This was UNESCO's presentation card after the classification of Évora as a World Heritage site in 1986. The reason of this distinction is not limited only to the Roman, medieval and XVII century walls that surround the city. This was already an important administrative and trade center in the Roman Period, who left their testimony alive in the Temple of Diana. The unique atmosphere of this city also includes the old neighborhoods, the streets with out of the ordinary names, the bustling square of Giraldo and the excellent cuisine and wines that you can taste in the many local restaurants. It is also a city with much to offer in terms of craft and culture, with frequent performances of dance, music and theater.
