Staying at Casa de Santiago is like traveling in time, with the XXI century comfort, unique details, exclusive experiences and incomparable moments!

At Casa de Santiago you can experience the ambience and the comfort of a genuine family home, where nothing was left to chance.

There are various living rooms in the Casa de Santiago, each with its own identity. The Sala Grande (Big Living Room), which is decorated with several portraits, including a magnificent painting of José Máximo Coelho Falcão, a portrait masterpiece from the 19th century painted by Auguste Roquemont (1804-1852); the Drawing room or TV room with a view of the garden; the Dining Room where the walls have been covered with rare painted wallpaper that show hunting scenes; the Plates Room that has a comfortable fireplace, where you can spend hours listening to music; or the Reading Room, the ideal place to read, work or just to relax.

The gardens are one of the most interesting places of the house. The lower garden is the ideal place to have an evening cocktail or to simply relax under the gigantic araucaria tree (an evergreen coniferous tree – Araucaria angustifolia). It is a formal topiary garden where there are several types of roses, a collection of “succulent” plants and some archeological pieces.

From this garden, bordered by a large cistern, you can access the “patio”, a cobblestone Alentejo corridor, where meals can be served, and then from there, you can go up to the so-called “upper garden”, which has a heated swimming pool, next to an old dovecote, and various relaxation areas.

There are various types of fruit trees; an organic vegetable garden, for home consumption; a barbecue with a nice view of the church and the castle and another dining area, under pergola where you can have meal outside, surrounded by citrus fragrances and different shades of green.
