Living the Alentejo in the Monte Alto Estate At 9 km from the beautiful village of Campo Maior, the Agroturismo Monte Alto is a typical Alentejo farm with 300 hectares of holm-oaks, where nature, comfort and quiet reign supreme. Join us and get to know Montado and what this unique ecosystem has to offer! Accompanied by the owner of Monte Alto, we invite you to a tour of the farm, lasting approximately 1h30, where you can see the Alentejo Pig in freedom on the holm oak and the sheep feeding on the biodiverse natural pasture. A must stop in our biological garden and the Abrilongo dam, where you can put one foot in Spain and another in Portugal. All this at the sound of the many and varied birds and the the bell clappers of the sheep in the distance. And do not forget to take lots of pictures! For those looking to explore the area in a sustainable way, bicycles are available and there are marked paths, perfect for bird watching and endemic flora and fauna. The regional dinner and the buffet breakfast are served in the large, glass-enclosed dining room, with the view lost.
